President’s note - Navnita Vivek

Like Hugh Laurie says “It’s a terrible
thing, I think, in life to wait until
you’re ready. I have this feeling now
that actually no one is ever ready to
do anything. There is almost no such
thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now.
Generally speaking, now is as good a
time as any”

It was just a month and a half ago
when Rtn. John Bruno (Dir. Youth Service – 2014-15) of Rotary Club of Bangalore South Parade initiated the talk of starting a Rotaract
Club. Then thoughts mulled over this idea and, there we were at our Orientation Session, sponsored by Rotary Club of Bangalore South Parade, headed by President, Rtn. Vivek Hallur, which took place on
18th March, 2014.

The Orientation Session paved way for a better understanding about the Rotaract Movement among the members and called for a tremendous feedback. Moving on, we had an Open House Meet, a very casual meeting on 30th March, 2014. Like Rtr.Arnab said, “Ain't nothing better than a Sunday spent knowing new People!” the meeting got all the members closer, with some fun interactive sessions.

We also had an early morning Open Park Meet on 13th  April, 2014 where President-Elect Rtn. Gopal Rao addressed our gathering, enlightening us more on the way of working by Rotary and Rotaract. It is overwhelming that, time after time we are having new members join the Club. The Rotary has decided to host an Induction Ceremony on 19th April, 2014 to officially induct all the young and promising Rotaractors. Now we are 30 bright and chirpy youngsters here to take a new step towards a new beginning to make our
society a better place for us to live in!
